Have a question about something you read on Hardwoodpost? We read every message and we like hearing from the people who use this site. This page explains how to reach us, what we can help with, and what falls outside what we do.

How to Reach Us

Send your message to [email protected]. Email is the only channel we use, so you can write to us any time that works for you and we will pick it up during regular business days.

To get a useful reply faster, tell us which article you are referring to and what part raised the question. A clear subject line and a few sentences of context help us point you to the right information without a long back-and-forth.

What to Write About

We welcome a range of messages, and these tend to get the most helpful responses:

  • Questions about a topic we have covered, such as credit scores, budgeting, loans, or insurance basics.
  • Corrections if you spot a factual error or an outdated figure in one of our articles.
  • Suggestions for subjects you would like us to explain in plain language.
  • Feedback on whether an explanation made sense or left you with more questions.

If you write in with a topic request, you may see it turn into a future article. Reader questions often shape what we publish next.

Expected Response Time

We aim to reply within two to three business days. Busier weeks can stretch that a little, so if you have not heard back after a week, feel free to send a polite follow-up in case your first note slipped through.

What We Cannot Help With

One thing to be clear about: Hardwoodpost is an education site, not a customer service line. We are not connected to any bank, card issuer, lender, or insurance company, and we cannot access, change, or look up your accounts.

If you need help with a specific account, a payment, a dispute, or a balance, contact your bank or lender directly using the number on the back of your card or on your statement. They can verify your identity and act on your account, which we are not able to do.

We also do not offer personalized financial advice over email. We can explain how something generally works, but decisions about your own money are best made with a licensed professional who knows your full situation.

For anything that fits within general financial education, write to [email protected] and we will do our best to help.
